We Pause to Give Special Thanks

Welcome to the Dove Direct Print and Marketing Blog.  Today's post, "We Pause to Give Special Thanks," takes a moment to consider all that we have to be thankful for at a time when the planet is surging with new coronavirus cases, the economic fallout, and an increase in deaths.   While it may seem out of step to even consider thankful messages when more than 258,000 Americans are no longer with us, it is with great American resolve that we push forward to find new methods and protocols to endure and defeat this invisible enemy.  That said, we begin by offering our deepest, heartfelt condolences to all who have lost a precious dear one to this virus, both here and abroad.

It is with great anticipation that the new administration will roll out a national plan.  The plan will have to cover how to combat the virus, overcome the economic challenges, help renters and homeowners stay in their homes, reestablish unemployment benefits, and distribute the new vaccine fairly and equitably.  It is a lot.  We only ask that everyone give both the outgoing and incoming administrations the grace to do the work.  Meanwhile, we extend thankful messages to the following:

Essential Workers:  We could not survive without your services.  We thank all essential workers, including police, firefighters, EMTs, teachers, local, state, and federal government workforce, military, restaurant workers, utility staff, and the medical community, especially the nurses, technicians, and doctors serving on the frontline.  You are the true heroes, and we wish you a safe Thanksgiving Holiday.


Vaccine and Epidemiology Experts:  We appreciate and thank you for all of the overtime and expertise you have given to develop treatments and vaccines to help mitigate this pandemic.


Medical Specialists:  To all the ICU nurses and doctors, pulmonary specialists, neurologists, cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, hospital managers, medical directors, emergency managers, and infection prevention managers, clinical support departments, and others, we thank you every day for your continued sacrifice in combating this pandemic.


Medical Labs:  We are incredibly grateful for the 24/7 lab work conducted by various medical laboratories that determine and deliver test outcomes.


Election Staff: We thank you all for sacrificing during this time to bring us a fair and clean election.  We wish you a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.

Volunteers:  To all the volunteers who are also on the front lines administering tests, helping with clean up, handing out food to the needy, and supporting requests wherever and whenever they are needed, a special thanks to all of you.

We know that there are so many more people and organizations to thank and offer our appreciation.  To those who are lending a hand and sacrificing to help us manage this pandemic, you are in our hearts, and we extend gratitude, thanks, and prayers for all of you to be safe and enjoy rest, food, and peace this Thanksgiving week.

2020 has been one of the most challenging years in history.  Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we are grateful for and all that we have overcome.  We are all encountering difficulties, adjusting to a very different 2020 than the one we may have planned, and treating each other with decency and respect will make this a year to remember.  We thank our families, love ones, staff, vendors, and partners.  We are here to offer help however we can.
